Ronald Long-Ting Yeung
Ronald grew interests in choral music under the teaching of local practiced musician, Mr. Eddy Chi-hong Cheung. Under the guidance of Ms. Agnes Hwong and Mr. Lesley Chan, he had further demonstrated his talent in choral conducting. Ronald is currently studying music education in the Hong Kong Institute of Education (HKIEd). Ronald is also the president of the HKIEd Chorus and the conductor of The Greeners’ Sound.
In 2011, he led the Boys’ Choir of Wah Yan College, Kowloon participating in the 3rd Hong Kong International Youth and Children’s Choir Festival. The Choir won the Championship of Youth Choir (TB voices) Category and the Grand Prize of “Choir of the World”, and Ronald was awarded the Best Conductor of the Festival. In 2013, he has received the Choral Award of the “Choral Partnership School & Community Project” from HKIEd and assists conducting local secondary school choir under the project. In 2014, he led The Greeners’ Sound participating in the 8th World Choir Games in Latvia and it attained a Gold Medal in Mixed Chamber Choir Category.
Apart from conducting choirs, Ronald has actively engaged in different kinds of choral activities. As a choir member, he has participated in several choral festivals and activities in Hong Kong, Mainland China, Japan, Korea, USA and Hungary, and promoted choral music via various workshops and performances in local schools, community centres and shopping malls etc. in recent years.
自幼習琴，在資深音樂人張自劻先生的指導下，對合唱音樂產生濃厚興趣，其後更得黃燕芳老師及陳家曦先生的指導，使其音樂潛能得以發揮。楊氏現於香港教育學院修讀音樂教育，同時亦為香港教育學院合唱團主席及本地青少年合唱團「綠韻」(The Greeners’ Sound) 指揮。
